Update - 2.04.2014

I found some interesting articles that briefly delve into how Friends represents a microcosm of people in real life and how this is why it was such a successful TV show.

This article, from The Guardian, focuses on the career ups and downs through the series', which is one of the key aspects I want to discuss in my EPQ:

"Friends: 20 years old and still the best-ever show about twentysomethings"

Another article by the Daily Mail also talks about their careers and how the show "wasn't afraid to show the six main characters failing to succeed". This article also talks about the figures and clearly shows just how successful the show was and still is:

"Friends for ever: Why we're still loving the hit TV show 20 years on"
